TriYoga®
|
|
TriYoga is a complete and revolutionary method founded by Swamini Kali Ray, that unites dynamic and sustained
asana with pranyama and mudra (posture, breathe and hand gesture). TriYoga practices are grounded in the
traditions of ancient yoga and result in a greater flow of prana. This practical method makes the body-mind a
fit instrument for meditation, removes obstacles in daily life, and leads to self-realization. This meditative
style of movement is systematized into 7 levels allowing students of any knowledge level to work together.

TriYoga Basics
|
|
For those new to TriYoga and for those who want to strengthen their core alignments, Basics is the necessary
foundation for all classes. It is also a complete practice in itself. Bolsters, pillows and other props can
be used to ensure comfort and alignment. Basics classes are designed to guide students through flowing movement
and poses suited for beginners, while allowing advanced students to improve subtle awareness in prasara (the flow).
Students taking Basics often experience increased strength and flexibility, improved posture and balance, renewed
energy and reduced stress.
|
Levels 1 to 5
|
|
Beginning with Basics, each level is a prerequisite for the next and includes five series, corresponding with the first five
major energy centers of the body. The levels gradually progress to teach all the postures of that level. In general, a class
is balanced by four “seasons,” of movement, beginning with Spring and ending with Winter. Class commences with
deep relaxation, breathing exercises and chanting.
