Doctor Dawn Mamikunian - Supergirl Fitness

A three class mini-series will take advantage of the cleaning affects of Spring!

Qigong is a part of the system of Traditional Chinese Medicine and involves a specific series of movement to clean your organs. Dr. Dawn Mamikunian will offer an introduction to Qigong to support your body’s natural process of detoxification and enhance your body's process of homeostasis.

The ancient practice of Qigong (life-force cultivation) is a form of Taoist Yoga with has numerous benefits. These benefits have been experienced for centuries and, more recently, have been documented by a plethora of scientific studies.

According to Taoism, the health of our bodymind is dependent upon a clear, strong and balanced flow of qi through the meridian system.

Since qigong practice accomplishes just this, it should come as no surprise that the benefits of qigong (also spelled “Chi Kung”) practice extend to every physical system of our bodies, as well as to the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our Being.

Dr. Dawn Mamikunian is a doctor of Chinese medicine and has been in practice in Rochester, NY since 2001. Her mission is to support her patients to achieve their optimal health using Traditional Chinese Medicine as their foundation for overall wellness. She has supported many patients using acupuncture, qigong, nutrition advice, meditation and mind body awareness to heal oneself with their own energy. Her goal is to help her patients in making life style changes that will help you have less pain, more energy and to make decisions form a balanced foundation of self awareness.

Come join Dr. Dawn in a introductory course of Qigong to create a natural process of detoxification and enhance your bodies process of homeostasis.

This is a small group class, limited to 8 students.
