This class is taught by Yasuko Poutre
Kundalini Yoga is called Yoga of awareness. It is a comprehensive practice of mediation, mantra, physical exercises (kriyas), breathing techniques and deep relaxation. Kryias are designed to achieve certain effects on specific organs, body system, glandular systems, nervous systems, chakra, clearing negative emotions, stabilizing the mind, or balancing energy in the body.
Kundalini Yoga is a technology to balance body, mind, and openness to soul/spirit which give you an experience of elevated state of consciousness and wellbeing through raising the flow of energy, kundalini. It is a creative potential energy that is in every person and in every atom of the universe. The central teaching of Kundalini Yoga is that each of us is a perfect, blissful soul and when the finite identity unite with the inner creative self, the infinite identity, self-healing raises out of what is already within us. By raising the flow of energy and directing its flow we can be in control of ourselves rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings.
It was developed for householders, people with jobs, and people with families so it works quickly. This practice is for everyone. It is a tool to navigate the waves of life so you are in charge of your own course of your life.
A daily practice of Kundalini Yoga clears tensions and imbalance of the body and stills the mind so we can hear the quiet voice of intuition.
