Recent research1 found group-based yoga programs to be significantly effective for middle-aged women and older dealing with urinary incontinence. This 60-minute gentle yoga class will instruct students through the eight specific postures used in this study, as well as others, to strengthen the muscles of the legs and pelvic floor region.
Breathing techniques specific to TriYoga will also be an important aspect of this class. While the focus will be yoga to prevent incontinence and support first and second chakra regions, the benefits of the class also include strength, flexibility and balance improvement and reduction in anxiety and stress.
Students enrolled in this class will receive a program to support their practice between weekly classes.
This is a small group class, limited to 8 students.
