Meet Your Instructor

Genevra Petito

Genevra Petito is a yoga instructor that’s here to support the older adults on the planet now.

The peace-keepers, volunteers, activists, farmers, grandparents have an important role to play and their health is very important.

I feel quite passionate about the effectiveness of in-person group movement as a major part of lifelong independence.

Genevra earned a degree in Exercise Science from Ithaca College and recently completed a Senior Fitness Specialist and Brain Health Trainer program.

With over 25 years of teaching experience and hundreds of senior-specific yoga classes taught, she prioritizes personalized attention to each of her students' physical needs in every class.

Genevra is a foundation of knowledge and inspiration to her fitness community as they continue along their journey of active aging together. She’s dedicated to the latest research and how it can be applied to the specific needs of an aging population.

Issues like bone density, memory and pelvic floor function are given strong consideration when designing group classes along with a focus on improving and maintaining strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Supergirl Fitness was established in 2002 to keep the fearless energy of the girl alive!
