Introducing

The Core Connection

on January 7th in Rochester, NY

WHAT’s The Core Connection

A good yoga class can often give one an instant sense of satisfaction and relief from the everyday discomforts that the body can cause - achey joints, busy minds for starters.

This yoga class will have a lot to offer those managing pelvic health issues as we set an intention to overlap traditional practices of yoga with the scientifically backed therapeutic practices of occupational therapy for a truly innovative approach to managing symptoms.

You will directly experience how the respiratory system, nervous system and musculoskeletal system play their part in making symptoms better -

in a safe space, supported by nice people!

No judgement! No shame!

You are worthy and deserving of making friends with your body and

feeling comfortable and confident everyday.

I think I could really use this

Activate the pelvic floor muscles to support the rest of the core in poses like this…

Yoga and occupational therapy

have been proven to heal pelvic health issues.

More specifically a study at UCSD (led by Judith Lasater and Leslea Howard)

offering yoga guidance to people dealing with incontinence

discovered a 70 % improvement

in the symptoms of participants!!!

Our plan is that participants will walk away with a new sensation of strength and lightness,

pain relief and ease in their bodies, new was to move

as well as a sense that they are not alone.

Learn how to strengthen and stretch the right spots,

and offer a state of deep relaxation for the whole system for lasting change.

Vicki Hartman, OTR/L, CSOT is a pelvic floor occupational therapist with a passion for helping individuals heal from pelvic dysfunction.

Her work began at Strong Hospital, where she saw the deep impact of acute illness and injury on bowel, bladder, and sexual health—often compounded by shame and lack of information.

Vicki uses evidence-based, integrative approaches including nervous system regulation, functional movement, breathwork, and manual therapy of viscera and fascia, with further impact on overall posture and healthy daily habits. With over 20 years of alignment-based yoga practice, she understands the powerful connection between breath, movement, mindfulness and overall wellness.

She offers individual treatment and group work, collaborating with other health and wellness professionals to support holistic pelvic health. Vicki’s mission is to reduce stigma and empower people suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction to tap into the healing wisdom we each hold within.
